The irresistible Boris crew returns, and not only them—the writers and performers who have given memorable moments of comedy and satire across cinema and television in these early years of the new century. They do so with a film that moves along two parallel paths, the romantic comedy and the political one, the protagonist’s external life as a parliamentary television journalist, played by Pif, and the internal life, with a Council of Ministers and a government that manages his love crisis after being dumped by his fiancée Alessandra Mastronardi.
The Ministry of Love, directed by Luca Vendruscolo and Giacomo Ciarrapico, was presented at Festa del Cinema before arriving on Prime Video on December 18. The surreal romantic comedy tells the story of Aldo (Pif) is a parliamentary journalist who witnesses the true political crisis, the one inside him, when the love story with Claudia (Alessandra Mastronardi) begins to falter, and the “Governo Aldo” plunges into its greatest crisis.
We met a duo of comedy and governance, embodied by Prime Minister Corrado Guzzanti, and by the Minister of Love himself, Pietro Sermonti, in this video interview.
