Paramount+ has released the first official images from its new Italian original series The Paraldi Method, featuring the star of Il commissario Montalbano, Luca Zingaretti, whose filming is currently underway in Rome. The show will be available for streaming in 2027, and the crime drama has also disclosed its full cast, which includes Melissa Anna Bartolini (I delitti del BarLume), Silvia D’Amico (Piedone – Uno sbirro a Napoli), Pierpaolo Capovilla, Thomas Trabacchi (Studio Battaglia), Valeria Solarino (Rocco Schiavone), Giuliana De Sio (Amore pensaci tu) and Gianfelice Imparato (I bastardi di Pizzofalcone).
The Paraldi Method: Plot of the TV Series
Created by Giulio Calvani and Federico Favot, drawing on Fabrizio Roncone’s novels centered on the “vinologist” journalist Marco Paraldi, and directed by Giuseppe Gagliardi (1992, Il Re), The Paraldi Method follows Zingaretti in the title role, an ex-journalist who has become a vintner and harbors a deep aversion to the powerful and to injustice. Paraldi investigates cases of missing people by leveraging the know-how of his former profession, often employing unorthodox methods and a keen sense for uncovering hidden truths. The investigations unfold in Rome, a city of power and la dolce vita: sophisticated, cynical and vibrant, both baroque and brutalist, incredibly affluent on the central terraces and starkly poor in the outermost districts. A Capital that defies simple categorization, where good and evil mingle to the point of becoming almost indistinguishable.
In the series also appear Alberto Gimignani (Buonvino – Misteri a Villa Borghese), Claudio Vanni (Suburra – La serie), Alessandro Bernardini (A casa tutti bene – La serie), Alessio De Persio (Suburra – La serie), Alioune Badiane (I gladiatori), Carola Abdalla Said (Provaci ancora prof!) and Marco Bonetti (Il commissario Rex).
