WandaVision in the eyes of many fans is one of the best TV Series in the MCU and has launched what is now known as the Wanda Trilogy. After what happened in Avengers: Endgame, Wanda Maximoff created an alternate reality where Vision never died. Together they built a future, a family, but that illusion was soon shattered by external threats. At the end of WandaVision, the audience met a new Vision, White Vision, who will headline VisionQuest, streaming on Disney+ from October 14, 2026. In the meantime, Paul Bettany explained how these two miniseries resemble one another.
VisionQuest anticipates that the TV series will have a clear connection with WandaVision
Between WandaVision and VisionQuest lies Agatha All Along, a spin-off dedicated to the witch Agatha Harkness and the couple’s son, Billy, who, in order to reunite with his dispersed twin brother, has joined forces with the same witch who rivaled his mother. In VisionQuest, coming soon to Disney+ for streaming, Vision faces a deep identity crisis. After what happened in WandaVision, he is searching for himself, a delicate operation considering that a bounty has been placed on him that will attract quite a bit of attention.
In conversations with Entertainment Weekly, Paul Bettany recalled that Vision is initially the version created as a weapon by S.W.O.R.D. and then fused with the other Vision, the one brought back to life by Wanda, taking on his memories. Despite possessing all those pasts, this Vision does not nurture an emotional bond with these characters (Wanda, her children, the Avengers) and to forge a connection it was necessary to propose a visual experiment: inside Vision’s head, where he seeks refuge every night, is a kind of gigantic villa divided into rooms that can change at will, using different AI systems, including Ultron. “They all have different abilities that help him analyze data related to his survival, and it’s really fun.” In this regard, the actor clarified what unites WandaVision and VisionQuest: “I think what characterizes WandaVision is that it’s a massive oscillation. We dive in headfirst, and it’s very peculiar and eccentric.”
The audience naturally hopes that the common thread between the two series is obviously Wanda’s return. Her fate does not seem particularly bright after what happened in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and in Agatha All Along her death was subtly reiterated. At the same time, we know that VisionQuest will also feature Tommy, the other child of the couple, who could eventually reunite with Billy, who is searching for him. Will the ending of VisionQuest offer a family reunion?
