Here is the official new Italian trailer for The Social: The Price of Truth, the eagerly awaited film written and directed by Aaron Sorkin that recounts the Wall Street Journal’s investigation which uncovered the secrets of Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg, bringing the founder of Meta to testify before Congress and later to stand trial (a trial that recently concluded with a settlement that led Meta to pay the astronomical sum of 16.7 billion dollars). In the film, the story centers on Frances Haugen (the Mikey Madison from Anora), a young Facebook engineer who turned to Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White), investigative journalist at the Wall Street Journal, to undertake a dangerous journey to reveal the social network’s most tightly guarded secrets: namely that the company has always been fully aware of the damage caused by the use of social media on adults and minors in terms of mental health, extremist radicalization, and many other concerns. The Social: The Price of Truth, conceived by Sorkin as a complementary film to the previous The Social Network, will be in Italian cinemas from October 8, distributed by Eagle Pictures.
