Trailers FilmFest 2026: Roberto Recchioni Signs Manifesto for the 24th Edition

Trailers FilmFest, the only event in Europe entirely devoted to film promotion, presents an original work inspired by the festival’s spirit.

For the first time in the festival’s history, a creator of the ninth art freely reinterprets the festival’s universe through his visual language: signing this manifesto is the cartoonist and screenwriter Roberto Recchioni.

“The manifesto aims to pay homage to the artist who best interpreted the narrative it promises and questions, without ever revealing: Saul Bass”, explained Recchioni. “For this reason his orange hue and the reimagined silhouettes of one of his masterpieces, West Side Story, a musical and complete film that no one else could represent better. Cinema bursts from the festival’s identity to enter the world”.

Saul Bass is one of the undisputed masters of cinematic communication, the author of posters that have gone down in history such as The Woman Who Lived Twice, Anatomy of a Murder and West Side Story. Thanks to him posters have become a genuine form of figurative art, as has the composition of the opening and closing credits.

The XXIV edition of the Trailers FilmFest will take place in Rome, at Palazzo San Lorenzo, from 3 to 6 November 2026.

Roberto Recchioni will sign a limited edition of the manifesto on the festival’s opening day, November 3 at Palazzo San Lorenzo, starting from 6:30 PM.

Trailers FilmFest is an event conceived and carried out by the Seven Association and produced by the The Outsiders Association, under the artistic direction of Francesca Sofia Allegra and Alessandro De Simone. The initiative is realized with the patronage and support of the Directorate General for Cinema – Ministry of Culture.
With the patronage of Cinecittà.
Coming Soon is the official media partner of this 24th edition
