Tulsa King: Samuel L. Jackson in First Look Photos From Frisco King Spin-Off

Every territory has its king, and someone who aims to become one. After getting to know and becoming captivated by the exploits of Dwight Manfredi in Tulsa in the acclaimed series T Tulsa King, it’s time to head west and uncover a new criminal empire. Paramount+ rises to reveal Frisco King, the new spin-off series that promises to tell another corner of America through alliances, rivalries, and power ambitions. And as the anticipation for the premiere grows, the first official photos arrive, offering a first glimpse of the characters and the world in which the story will move, including of course the lead role played by Samuel L. Jackson.

Frisco King: The plot and the characters of the new TV series

Created as Tulsa King by Taylor Sheridan, Frisco King, set to stream soon, centers on Russell Lee Washington Jr., the character portrayed by Jackson, who had already been introduced in season 3 of the main series as a hitman tasked with eliminating Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone), but who instead chooses to warn him. The criminal thus attempts to replicate the General’s feat, founding his own gang in the eponymous Texas town. The photos show Russell once again with Dwight before, presumably, he leaves the city. We then see him elsewhere, as he meets several characters.

Asa Germann (Gen V) plays the shrewd and enterprising Teddy, a college student who left his studies and catches Russell’s attention, ending up involved in his affairs. Kai Caster (Yellowstone) takes on the role of Keith, a courteous parking attendant at the Sandman Hotel who joins the protagonist’s burgeoning crew. Lilah Pate (Outer Banks) and Savanna Gann (English Teacher), meanwhile, are London and Avery, two flashy cheerleaders recruited into the same operation.
