Prime Video has found its Stella. The streaming service announced that Jacqueline Luna has secured the female lead in Two Hearts in Rent, the eagerly awaited adaptation of Felicia Kingsley’s bestselling novel of the same name, the queen of Italian romance. The actress, formerly seen in Never Too Late, joins Giacomo Gianniotti, known for his work on Grey’s Anatomy and Wild Cards.
Two Hearts in Rent: The Plot of the TV Series
Written by Alessandra Martellini, Giulia Magda Martinez and Matteo Visconti, and directed by Laura Chiossone, Two Hearts in Rent is the second adaptation of a Kingsley novel and follows the film It’s Not a Country for Singles, which the same team previously produced for Prime Video. The story centers on Stella (Luna), an aspiring screenwriter with a need for control and one last shot to break through, and on Blake Avery (Gianniotti), a seasoned, chaotic, charming and dangerously self-assured bestselling author. They are opposites in every possible respect. When they are forced to share a seaside villa and collaborate to salvage a TV series from failure, the collision is inevitable. Yet amid late-night rewrites, sky-high tension and attempts to sabotage one another, the boundary between rivalry and desire grows dangerously thin.
Two Hearts in Rent is Felicia Kingsley’s best-selling novel. For three consecutive years the most-read author in Italy, with more than 4.5 million copies sold in the country alone and 23 books published, translated into 20 countries, the Italian Kingsley is a genuine publishing phenomenon. Bancarella Selection Prize 2026 for Hollywood Scandal, Sicily Prize 2026, Author of the Year at the TikTok Book Awards in 2024, Kingsley has captivated millions of readers with the bright and ironic style of her contemporary fairy tales. Since her debut in 2017 with A Convenient Marriage, numerous bestsellers (all published by Newton Compton Editori) followed, confirming her as one of the most loved voices in Italian contemporary romance.
