Alliances are fragile, secrets ready to surface, and no one truly feels safe. The Hunting Wives (original Italian title Nido di vipere) returns with a second season, and the official Italian trailer teases another high-tension chapter for Sophie O’Neil and Margo Banks, the two leads portrayed by Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman. Following the success of the first batch of episodes, the second season will premiere on Netflix on November 26, 2026 with eight new episodes. And while the rivalry between Sophie and Margo seems set to become even more intricate, there is already one certainty for the future: the platform has renewed the series for a third season.
The Hunting Wives 2, previews: Sophie and Margo together again
The official trailer for The Hunting Wives promises to bring back to the center of the story the magnetic and destructive dynamic between Sophie and Margo. At the start of the second season, the two women are at odds: Sophie wants to break free from Margo’s influence, but distancing herself from her could prove far more difficult than expected. In Maple Brook, however, the past never stays buried for long. Old secrets and new enemies will force the two protagonists to draw closer once more, thrusting them into a web of intrigue and dangerous alliances. The question that accompanies their return is the same that fuels the show’s appeal: who is hunting whom? Are Sophie and Margo really hunters, or might they become the next prey?
The Plot of The Hunting Wives: Obsession, Seduction, and Murder
Adapted from the bestseller by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives follows Sophie O’Neil, a Massachusetts woman who relocates with her husband Graham and their family to East Texas. The move is jarring: Sophie finds herself in a world very different from the one she knew and struggles to find her footing in the new community. Her life changes when she meets Margo Banks, a wealthy, captivating, and influential woman who leads a group of women belonging to the local elite. An intense bond forms between them, marked by an attraction that gradually pushes beyond the boundaries of ordinary friendship. Margo introduces Sophie to a world of exclusive parties, seduction, sex, power, and transgression. Yet behind the flawless veneer of this privileged circle lurks a much darker reality. A murder pulls Sophie into a tangled maze of relationships, suspicions, and secrets, from which it becomes increasingly hard to escape. The second season will pick up right from the consequences of this deceitful universe, returning the protagonists to a game where trusting the wrong person can have devastating consequences.
The cast of the second season: from Brittany Snow to John Stamos

Alongside them we will see Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie Baskin, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil, George Ferrier as Brad, Karen Rodriguez as Deputy Sheriff Wanda Salazar, and Hunter Emery as Deputy Walter Flynn. The new season also expands the ensemble with several additions: Branton Box will portray Sheriff Jonny, Dale Dickey will play Zelda Moffitt, Kim Matula will portray Nadia Kelly, Cam Gigandet will embody Gentle John Moffitt, and Alex FitzAlan will take on Lincoln Trout. Among the newcomers are also John Stamos in the role of Chase Brylan and Angel Reese as Trainer Barbie.
