Wednesday 3: Filming Wraps, New Preview Photo

Halloween is approaching, but it will still be some time before we get to see Wednesday Addams misbehaving on television again. The good news is that filming for the third season of Wednesday, the Netflix hit series developed in collaboration with Tim Burton, has wrapped, so now we just have to wait for post-production to run its course. In the meantime, the streaming service offers its numerous fans a fresh sneak peek of the protagonist Jenna Ortega in the role of her iconic character.

Wednesday Season 3: What to Expect in the New Season?

The completion of filming should spare fans from another long wait like the one between the first and second seasons, which were released three years apart. Most likely, this time they’ll manage in roughly half that time, or a little more. As for spoilers, we know these new episodes will continue to expand the Nevermore world and Wednesday’s universe, delving even deeper into the Addams family and its secrets, including the introduction of new members. The most anticipated newcomer is Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s sister and Wednesday’s aunt, played by Eva Green.

The production of season 3 was carried out mainly in Ireland, around Dublin, but Netflix had confirmed months earlier a detour to Paris. An official first image had shown Wednesday beneath the Eiffel Tower, alongside Mano. This will likely tie in with the finale of the previous season, when, after defeating Isaac and freeing Tyler, Wednesday had hopped onto Uncle Fester’s sidecar and set off to search for her best friend Enid.

We also know that the Stranger Things star Winona Ryder will portray Tabitha, a character whose details are kept secret for now, while Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon), Noah Taylor (Preacher), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) and Kennedy Moyer (Task) will be Balthazar, Cyrus, Atticus and Daisy respectively. There will also be the Lena Headey, veteran of Game of Thrones, Andrew McCarthy (The Resident) and James Lance (Ted Lasso). It isn’t clear who all of these characters are and what the unnamed roles might be, but the creators Al Gough and Miles Millar have previously said to expect new students and new teachers.
