Boxes to unpack, a shared bathroom, and a brand-new home to settle into: for Noah and Joanne, the big step has finally arrived. The third season of Nobody Wants This will premiere on Netflix on October 22, 2026, and from the official Italian trailer, it’s immediately clear that their love story is entering an entirely new phase. After facing the classic question of whether they will or won’t get together, the question now is far more concrete: how do you stay together without going off the rails when you start sharing everyday life? The answer seems to lie in a series of small and large “firsts” in the life of a couple, along with a few inevitable complications. In short, for Noah and Joanne, played by Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, the “happily ever after” is not the end of the story: it may just be the beginning.
Nobody Wants This 3: The Plot of the Third Season
Moving in is only the start: Noah and Joanne are ready to share everything. Yet the question is no longer whether they will become a couple; it is how they will make their relationship work. As explained by creator Erin Foster, the aim is to allow Noah and Joanne to experience those grand romantic moments that a rom-com usually saves for the conclusion. For Joanne, there will also be a conversion journey, guided by the new rabbi Eden, portrayed by Sarah Silverman. At Temple Chai, rumors about her begin to circulate, fueled by Sebastien, the character played by Andrew Rannells. Noah, however, seems more confident than ever about their relationship, assuring her that they are “perfect” together. Bina too now appears to regard them as a couple destined to endure, to the point of talking about Joanne as a possible rebbetzin, i.e., the wife of a rabbi.
Sasha and Morgan, Between Friendship and Something More
As for the other main characters, Sasha and Esther start afresh after the breakup. Esther is ready to look ahead, while Sasha must rediscover the world of dating as a single woman. Her new status emphasizes the tension with Morgan, Joanne’s sister: the two still call themselves friends, but now that Sasha is single, that unspoken “something” becomes harder and harder to ignore. Morgan, however, wants to focus mainly on herself and her career.
The Cast and New Additions
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody naturally return in the roles of Joanne and Noah, alongside Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Justine Lupe, Tovah Feldshuh and Michael Hitchcock. Among the new additions stand out Sarah Silverman as Rabbi Eden and Andrew Rannells as Sebastien. The cast also includes Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Avan Jogia, Poorna Jagannathan, Sadie Sandler, Stephanie Koenig and Steven Weber. Creator Erin Foster will also appear in the role of Nicole, a single and decidedly chaotic woman who represents a kind of alternate version of what Joanne could have become.
